The Accelerade multi-tiered interactive campaign, including 25 unique online training videos featuring six-time Ironman World Champion, Dave Scott, combined cutting-edge technology and a celebrity coach to help endurance athletes of all levels improve their training while associating Accelerade, the brand, with the endurance community. Results indicated that 22 percent of visitors downloaded a video or podcast to their mobile device, each visitor, on average, watched 2.8 videos and the campaign was extended virally through viewer iPods and youtube.com. With the launch of the small, sleek Blackberry Pearl, T-Mobile wanted to highlight the phone's unique email functionality, increase awareness of the "staying connected" service and drive purchase consideration and sales. In response, Active.com developed the "MessageCast" promotion, which allowed youth sport coaches a quick way to send out voice message alerts to player's parents while also promoting T-Mobile's phone and service as a "great way to stay in touch with your team". With over 15 million impressions, 115,000 emails to coaches and 33,000 sponsored audio messages to parents, T-Mobile was able to reach the sweet spot of their target audience and considered the promotion a huge success.
